Namche

This international Tenzing Hillary Marathon held on every May 29 is one of the toughest

How to get Lukla during spring season ?
During Spring, especially in the months of April and May due to air traffic in Kathmandu, flight schedules are operated from Ramechhap. Take a 4-hour drive from Kathmandu to Ramechhap and then take a flight to Lukla during these months.
Note: (The month of April and half days of May month, all the Lukla flights are scheduled to operate from Ramechhap – Lukla – Ramechhap.)
What to do to avoid the Kathmandu- Ramechhap drive and fly to Lukla?
You may book this trek in the month of March or after the 15th of May, to avoid the Kathmandu to Ramechhap drive as a direct flight to Lukla operates from Kathmandu.
What to do in case of flight cancelation during the Everest Base Camp Spring trek?
In case of flight cancelations from (Kathmandu to Lukla or Lukla-Kathmandu), there is an alternative option of Kathmandu to Lukla by helicopter which costs around USD 500 per person.
How hard is the Everest Base Camp Trek ?

The weather is generally warm in lower regions but as you climb higher to the Everest Base Camp, it gets colder. Thus, we recommend packing light warm winter clothes such as down jackets, warm trousers, warm hats, gaiters, gloves, socks, and thermal under and over. Also, include sunglasses, prescribed medicines, water purification kits, personal hygiene kits, trekking poles, and crampons.

Accommodation is generally teahouses or lodges. There are rooms with two beds and must share a room with 2 people since it is peak season.
